| Orleans Young Players Theatre School | | | | Orleans Young Players Theatre School (OYP) is proud of its record of excellence in theatre arts education. For over 17 years, OYP has had a special commitment to the community and to young people, growing from a small volunteer-run community organization to a leader in theatre education. OYP teaches theatre by doing theatre — every class culminates with a performance through which participants explore, experience and integrate various aspects of the arts: writing - the story and the script; visual arts - set, costume and light design; music - sound design, voice, mood music; dance and movement in the simple blocking or complex movement sequences; and increasingly the newer arts, incorporating mixed or multi-media.
