Shenkman Family Foundation

Bill Shenkman and Christine TremblayLead donor of $1 million: The Shenkman Family Foundation

In the fall of 2007, The Shenkman Family Foundation became the first donor to the campaign and the Orleans Arts Centre officially became the Shenkman Arts Centre.  Both Harold Shenkman Hall and the Centre itself will pay tribute to a family who through their generosity have empowered the arts community through the proliferation of their art, to educate and express values and help create the sense of place and identity necessary to shape this community.

The Shenkman Family Foundation is governed by an independent Board of Directors. The Foundation has a long history of supporting a wide variety of charities and causes, having supported over 100 charities over the past ten years alone. The Foundation remains committed to deliver or support programs which benefit the community overall, with a particular emphasis on programs that benefit children, promote education, and those that serve to enhance the health and well-being of all persons.
